  • Tip #6: don't automatically grab the driver on every par 4 or par 5, especially if you struggle to put the driver in play. Don't be afraid to hit 3 wood, 5 wood or a hybrid on the shorter holes when there is a lot of trouble off the fairway.

Thank you both for the time, effort and delivery style. Much appreciated. What people forget is that as amateurs we dont turn up with same stuff twice😀. The aim is to enjoy the golf and the surroundings along with social chat. What turns up, turns up. Your tips trigger good golf course management through years of experience and coaching. If we get three good shots in a round, that`s the memory. Keep up the good work..

Really enjoyed that! More on course tips like these, please. 👍

Guys, you make this so simple & easy. Thank you very much for all your help.
  • Piers and Andy how high should I be teeing a wood? Obviously I can't hit the ball as far as you on a par 3. My heaven wood usually goes 150 metres and my 5 iron only about 120 metres. It's always great to watch you guys. I've joined the break something, so I will be trying to break 100 in the next 6 weeks.

Awesome video. Do y'all by chance happen to have already made one on adding spin to full shots? On approach the other day a playing buddy of mine asked me how far my rollout is. I said simply, "however long the green is after my ball hits it". I can't stick em. I hit the distance I want, but no matter where I land the ball, it rolls off the green. Frustrating.
  • Thanks gentlemen! The tip about clubbing down with the irons is interesting, I will practice that and see how it turns out
  • @671james
Great tips! Love that you don’t retake the shots even though they didn’t go according to plan (which is golf anyway). One thing is it would have been nicer to have seen these with the shot tracers. Still great tips and ones that we really need to remember and follow

Hi guys hope you can offer some advice. For some strange reason I'm starting to struggle with my body feeling like I'm lined up. Ever felt like that
  • Good course management and knowing your yardages are a big help. Forget the crap shots, reset and make sure the next shot is good.
  • Years ago when I was a bit inconsistent with the driver I switched to a Cleveland 2 iron and it changed my game, all of a sudden I'd be hitting my 2nd shots from the fairway, not that far from where my driver may have got me 3/10 times .. my scores were much lower .. I worked on my driving on the range and only went back once I was confident I could hit a fairway 8/10 shots.
  • Watching these videos hoping to find they key to breaking 90, only to find I do all of these thing already 🙈. I think I just need to improve consistency of my swing and shot shape.
  • @vicstart
@meandmygolf - I too like the tip about using more club with an easier swing. My question though is this - at what distance do you stop doing this and revert to a full shot?
