"I had a date" gosh what a simple line it is, yet it's so bittersweet. he saved the entire world countless times, yet in the end he just wanted to be a normal guy, who just didn't want to be late to a date. it's such a beautiful ending, that he won the biggest fight, yet lost the small thing he cared about.

He won. He really won. He stopped the Red Skull. He saved the world. He became a hero to millions. But despite everything he did... He was still late to his Dance. Things like that are what made the MCU so good, and why the newer stuff just feels lifeless.

This scene, Cap’s last conversation with Peggy earlier in the film, Cap’s conversation with Peggy in the nursing home, and Old Steve handing the shield to Sam get me every time. Alan Silvestri’s score seals the deal for me😭

The fact that his immediate concern was whether or not his date was still happening just goes to show what kind of guy Steve Rogers really is. He's selfless and always puts others before himself, even when he's the one who's disoriented and confused about what's going on.

Waking up 70 years after your own timeline is no joke. Watching this again, It gave me more understanding on why Cap chose to go back. Wouldn't we all?

I find this scene so interesting. He runs outside and he must be so confuse about what he is seeing. Like "woah those buildings have tvs on them" and then the whole date thing is just heartbreaking
