A great rule change would be that the wheel gets spun in the other direction, could really improve the series drastically. I’m even daring to say that it’d boost this series’s enjoyability by 926%

The first duel is absolutely the kind of nonsense that would have happened in a Joey Vs Pegasus duel. Joey playing a good card to lock special summons that he got from beating some dude with a Seiyaryu themed deck, Yugi in the corner saying "Wait, Joey! He's been expecting that!" and then Pegasus just having the exact steal card ready to make it so that Joey locked himself.

I can't believe they didn't know that Pegasus used Toon Kingdom against Crowler and Bonaparte, that was like the best duel in the entire franchise.

Joey vs. Pegasus never happened in the anime, but I still associate these two characters because their respective starter decks were released together in the TCG back in March 2003.

incredibly funny that Joseph goes "Watch me floodgate you nerd" with the Dragon's Bind/REBD stuff and Douglas said "gimme that shit" with the Comic Hand and immediately won the game because Joseph had no outs for his own shit lmao

For the next episodes you should have guests (at least 2) joining the chat and they get to spin another wheel to determine which secondary character they'll be roleplaying as as they commentate the duel. You know, for lore accuracy.

I think a good rule to implement would be that every episode MBT and Dezeeff have to both sarcastically tell us they'll read the comments about rule changes.

This duel didn't happen in the anime, but there was a live duel at a YCS between the two. It's a personal favorite and my introduction to the Burning Abyss archetype.
