COAL FIRE with relaxing sounds and crackles - 4K

Published 2022-12-21
I thought I'd have another go at filming my coal fire.
This time I have created a more pleasing view as the coals roar into life and then gently settle down to burn in the fireplace.

Why not turn up your speakers to enjoy the sounds of the flames roaring and the coals crackling.

Hi Frank! Open coal fires are something quintessentially british, and I love it! Here in Germany, hardly anybody has got an open fire and burning coal in open appliances is forbidden. Great video, you can see quite well how the fire develops! Hasn't house coal been banned in the UK, too? I wonder how well those new smokeless coals burn in fireplaces.. A similar video of smokeless fuel would be interesting!

A family friend once lived in a Victorian house with 2 fireplaces. It was lovely watching tv on those cold nights with the fire roaring away. It would smoulder all night and the room was so warm 1st thing in the morning

Hi Frank! My Dad, brother and I have greatly enjoyed sitting around your fire for Christmas. Thanks very much. You've been the subject of much conversation and speculation this evening as we've wondered about you. Merry Christmas, and thanks again for lighting up our living room 😊

Hi Frank! Is this the video with the Kodak LUT? I like the look of it. I don’t think there’s anything to improve in post production. But if it was me I would light the scene differently. There’s a lot of reflection on the walls outside of the fire place. I’d say less lighting on those walls and as soft as possible. Maybe bounce the light off the ceiling. I would also lower the camera for a lower angle. That’ll give the fire some more depth. I have to say, I do actually enjoy looking at the fire and listening to the sound😊

Hi Frank, what kind of coal is it? House coal or something else? Love the video. Greetings from the Netherlands.
