An off-duty nurse who saved the life of a 12-year-old girl who was pulled out into the ocean by a rogue wave, is now sharing her account of the rescue.

Emily Churchill said the strong current had swept Fiona Poulin further and further out to sea—and she knew there was little time to waste.

Churchill, who had been a lifeguard about a decade ago, said she had noticed the current was especially strong on Wednesday.
