One of the best videos that I have ever seen about Andalucia, where I lived when retired in 2001 until 2022. I had visited all the cities shown in the video ,some several times. How good to hear and see the 21 years again. Now aged 89 living near Cambridge, U.K..

Spain is the bomb! One of the most beautiful countries on earth, with a great culture, incredible architecture, countless historical and UNESCO World Heritage sites, friendly people, awesome climate, fantastic beaches and incredible food, it's hard to beat.

Thank you Mr. Steves for this wonderful virtual tour. I am a Filipina and our culture was greatly influenced by Spanish traditions. Our native language incorporates the use of Spanish words. We also celebrate Semana Santa just like they do it there because Philippines is predominantly a Catholic country. Thank you for your efforts to educate us viewers.

  • Mr.Rick Steves, First of all,i convey my best wishes and greetings to you on this New Year,2024 ! I appreciate your visit to Andalusia,Spain ! It's a wonderful combination of Muslim and Christian culture,a happy blend of mosque and church ! The beautiful Muslim architecture is definitely a treat to the eyes.Apart from being a historian and tour guide, you seem to have a knack for cooking as well, the way you have narrated the recipe of a certain food,it adds a flavour to it. Very well said for the Rock of Gibraltar : " The Rock itself seem to represent stability and power!" Your ability to narrate with such great enthusiasm, encourages the viewers to watch your travel videos with immense pleasure ! Thanks to you for your kind endeavour ! 😊

I visited in 2019, and I was not disappointed. Such a beautiful country, and so much to see, do, and appreciate.

I live in Granada. Most of the flamenco shows are tourist traps. I recommend ‘Jardines de Zoraya’.

I'll be in Southern Spain by April and Andalucia is part of the itinerary.
  • This video was so good i was sad when it ended. I lived there when I was in the Navy. It made me kind of lonesome. Thank you Rick Steves. ❤

Thank you. I have long searched where to buy a bottle of Sandeman Sherry which I akways called Sandman. I use to buy it in the 70's as holiday gifts with Biscottis to give away. I do not drink but can now buy a bottle for cake making. Ah, Jerez, thank you. Bravo for all your valued work. You always capture the wonderment and history of each of your destinations.

Most impressive in Sevilla was the Setas de Sevilla. Too bad you missed it. Yes, it is modern but gives views of archeological digs beneath, a festival area, and an outlook that juxtaposes old and new Sevilla. Definitely go see it!

Greek-Spanish painter Goya? Goya was not Greek, I think you are confusing him with El Greco.

not sure, but this video looks like it was filmed in the late 90s or early 2000s.
