Montreal is one of the greatest cities in world , and best restaurants

Anthony Bourdain LOVED Montréal. Just sayin'.

Add LaBelle province to your list of restaurants for great breakfast and smoke meat sandwiches and fantastic poutine.

There's so much more to Montreal food than poutine, bagels and smoked meat! Go to L'Express or Lémeac for french food, Les Enfants Terribles at Place Ville Marie for amazing city views, Chinatown for authentic chinese food and vietnamese soup, Vin mon Lapin, Joe Beef and Montreal Plaza for fancy eats, Majestique for oysters and funky decor, and so so so much more!

Speaking as a Montrealer, thank you for a fun and fair video. Good of you to mention that Federal and Quebec taxes total 15%of what you eat. Do NOT get suckered into tipping on the amount AFTER taxes. If you tip 15%, then your tip should equal the total taxes.

Montreal is one area I would like to explore. Canada is a great place to visit! Thank you for the tips! Happy New Year!

Another great video on my hometown! Montreal is a foodie's dream come true. There are so many different types of cuisine available, you could put on a blindfold, throw a dart at a map and whatever country it hits, odds are Montreal has at least one place that specializes in that type of food. Food tours are an option, but the easiest to do is self-guided (provided you have good walking shoes): start in Old Montreal and when you reach the Science Center, start walking up Saint-Laurent. It will take you through Chinatown, you'll find some trendy spots after you cross Sherbrooke street, then you'll go through parts of Mile End and the Plateau where Fairmont and St-Viateur are only a block or two away from St-Laurent. As you continue to walk north, you'll get to Little Italy and eventually you'll be near the Jean-Talon market and then you can take the Metro from Jean Talon station back to your lodging. If you're feeling truly brave and your legs don't hate you, walk a few blocks east to Saint Denis and walk southward for more food and drink destinations, where you will eventually end up on the Saint-Denis strip between Sherbrooke and de Maisonneuve streets, where you can't NOT find food or drink. A full day of walking should be just about enough to burn off most of the calories you will take in during your walk. The southwest borough also has some excellent locations for food and drinks, and if you follow the Lachine canal from Old Montreal, you will visit Griffintown, Little Burgundy, Point St-Charles, and Saint Henri, all of which have vibrant food and drink scenes.

Always an honour when we have you reviewing our country.

Had the Schwartz smoked meat in a Ruben at Le Saint Bock on Rue Saint Dennis, the food in Montreal is top notch, live almost 5 hours drive away and have been up twice in two months. Absolutely love Montreal and I’m working on my very poor French for next time. The open air markets at Atwater and Jean-Talon had some great and affordable eats!

Hi Walter just a heads up, both Fairmount Bagel and St Viateur are in the Mile End. It's 1 block away from each other !

Don’t forget “apportez votre vin”! Bring your own wine, buy it at a depaneur and you can bring your own bottle into a restaurant!
