  • I'm a 32 year old Croat. I've been listening to CCR since I was a kid. I got it from my dad who is a true ex-yugoslavian boomer. He used to dj CCR and other rock stuff at basement parties in the 70's.

I am 68 and it brings tears to my heart thinking how it was then. Nothing compares to those days.

I'm actually happy to live in this generation because I can hear CCR's music anytime I want.

This was my very first CD at the age of 14. My grandma's husband gave it to me. We used to sit outside after the parents went to bed and drink budweiser, play darts and listen to CCR!!! Best of times!!

I first heard this song in 1969 in a college bar, it defines the essence and atmosphere of what it was like back then in the US, with the viet nam war going on, the protests etc etc. The song always takes me back to those days,we were young and thought we would live forever, it was truly a unique time to be alive.
  • Studio "Hey, can ya'll do a basic cover for this Marvin Gaye song? Like 4 minutes?" CCR "Lol sure, something simple" MAKES 12 MINUTE MASTER CLASS IN BLUES AND BAYOU ROCK

I'm 85 years old now -- Back in the day, this was my fave "staggering music" -- felt best with a joint in one hand, and a bottle of Boone's Farm in the other. 😁
  • Still jamming to this classic song…. I used to listen to CCR when I was in the motor pool in Afghan working on mraps…… 10/5/23 time 6:44pm…… Army Strong HooaH!!!!!!

1:31 Eat your heart out Mr Gaye !! I’m 82 and I bought a bootleg album of CCR with this track on back in the 70’s it still blows my mind! It took me ages and a lot of sore fingers to play the riff somewhere near the sound on this track! Used to have hair like John’s, now it’s more like Yul Brynner !! Happy days!!

Doug Clifford was one of the better drummers from that era who never gets mentioned
  • @clintrairdon3554
You know why this music is great ? Musicians !!! No computerized drum beat, no synthesizers, just real musicians playing great music !! So glad I grew up listening to great bands like them !!!
  • @ToneyByrn

  • @DK_Son
The entire thing is disgustingly good, from start to finish. Never air-drummed this much in my life before.
