  • @recuerdos2457
Demonstrating the ‘DO’s will make more sense to my brain…
  • @r0ut3rg1rl
Its confusing with the Donts. Better to just show the Do’s i think thats easier to understand.
  • @sovka8394
I break most of these rules but my skin is still beautiful lol.

Can you please do a video on how we can incorporate retinol in our skincare if we have low level rosacea? 🙏🏻🥺
  • Please make a detailed video of how to actual use retinol and when to use it.
  • @mizbarehana5498
Best video on this!!! No one talks about most of these tips and they are so important when using retinol... thanks so much, Dr ❤

WTH? Of course, I'm not going to put it near mucous membranes (ouch). But I'm trying to get rid of wrinkles and sebaceous filaments. I'm using Adapalene, not Retinol, but still--what good is a wrinkle cream if you can't put it on wrinkles? You know--like around the mouth, nasolabial folds? Crow's feet?
  • @MatMat-qi2rd
I apply retinoid on the undereye area because that's where my skin needs the most. I didn't get the rubbing part: aren't we supposed to massage it onto the skin?😮
  • I always clean my face first with a gentle cleanser then i apply hyaluronic acid serum on my face as it helps to moisturize our skin, then i apply retinol following up with a hydrating moisturizer. Next day i follow my skincare routine with sunscreen. And i do not use salicylic acid or vit C products.. i use them on alternative days. I hope I'm doing it correctly. I would be grateful if you reply, thank you!

Retinol is a powerful skincare ingredient, but it's also one that needs to be used correctly to avoid potential issues. Here are some common mistakes to avoid when using retinol: 1. Starting with a high concentration: If you're new to retinol, it's best to start with a lower concentration and gradually increase as your skin builds tolerance. Starting with a high concentration can cause irritation. 2. Using too much: A pea-sized amount of retinol is enough for your entire face. Using too much can lead to dryness and irritation. 3. Not moisturizing: Retinol can be drying, so it's important to follow up with a moisturizer. This can help counteract the drying effects and keep your skin hydrated. 4. Using it too often: Start by using retinol once or twice a week and gradually increase as your skin gets used to it. Using it too often can cause redness, peeling, and sensitivity. 5. Skipping sunscreen: Retinol can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. It's crucial to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day to protect your skin. 6. Applying it on damp skin: Applying retinol on damp skin can cause it to absorb more quickly, leading to irritation. Always apply it to dry skin. 7. Using it with other potent active ingredients: Using retinol with other potent active ingredients like vitamin C, benzoyl peroxide, or AHAs/BHAs can cause irritation. It's best to use these ingredients at different times of the day or on alternate days. Remember, everyone's skin is different, so what works for one person might not work for another. Always listen to your skin and adjust your routine as needed.
