I do find the Colts' offense to be full of intrigue. And, you can make a case right now that Shane Steichen is the best play & scheme designer in the league. Overall, I think that the AFC South is going to be a very interesting division this year. The division has come a long way over the past two years!

A healthy AR, no Taylor contract issue, Pittman and Mitchell, and a pretty good pass rush. I don’t know if they can overtake Houston, but I can easily see them as a WC team.
  • Here’s the thing about the colts secondary. People forget we were missing our number one outside corner almost all of last year, who was playing like a top 16 cb. That Dallas Flowers, who will be back healthy this year. Also, Juju Brents got hurt a few times last year, so we were really playing Kenny Moore, plus our third and fourth (sometimes fifth) corners. With healthy corners, and Juju Brents and Jones coming off of pretty good rookie seasons, and Flowers back in the mix, this should turn back into an average secondary, and with hopefully an above average pass rush like last year, it should be a pretty good defense. The issue last year was explosive plays, which we let up the most of last year mostly from unlucky missed tackles. It’s very interesting when you look into the stats actually. Because while the pass rush finished top 5 in sacks overall, they disappeared during parts of games, and that’s where all those explosive plays came from. What they’re hoping with Latu is that he’ll be an alpha pass rusher who can take over games and take some pressure off Buckner. As for everyone hating on AR and saying he can’t be good, while the injuries are concerning, there was really only one injury last year. The first “injury” was him banging up his knee and the colts sitting him for the last two plays of a game we weren’t winning. The second injury was an unfortunate concussion on frankly a cheap shot by a Texans DB. And the final injury was a freak tackle that resulted in a very weird injury that could happen to anyone. In fact, in the same season it happens to Derek Carr inside the pocket, just to a lesser degree. As far as his talent goes, I think we forget that he was outplaying CJ Stroud in the games he was playing. The reason his completion pct was so low was because in the first half of the rams game his receivers dropped like 5 catchable balls. But then he came back in that game and played just about perfectly, regaining a 23 pt deficit to force OT. In that stretch, he essentially made Aaron Donald (one of the best DTs ever) his son throwing directly in his face 40 yds down field to Alec Pierce, he completed two two point conversions, and never looked nervous the entire time, even if he got off to a slow start. The jags game was a solid game with only one mistake (an int that rookies throw all the time because NFL corners are more athletic and they’re not used to it yet), and in the Texans game, he was COOKING their defense with two rushing TDs before being put in for concussion protocol. He even looked great in the titans game, and you could see him visibly learning each week. And for everyone saying he should’ve sat a year, good news, THATS WHAT HE ENDED UP DOING. So yeah, those are my thoughts, great vid tho!

Steichen was the 2022 Eagles offense. The Colts are going to grow like a muscle under him.

As a huge Colts fan the '23-24 season was something else. I thought we were doomed when AR went down but big props to Minshew for coming in and doing an awesome job, hope nothing but the best for him on the Raiders.
  • @CitizenKen1
Steichen is a great coach. If he can keep things consistent on defense and build up more weapons for AR on offense then we could be looking at a sleeper contender in another season or two.

I think ARich is being a bit overhyped. He came into the league EXTREMELY raw, and only played 4 games last year, and not all of those were full games. The arguments against caleb/jayden is we haven't seen it at the NFL level yet, and AR is no different.
  • @ScholarlyHiccup
Y’all underrate the hell out of this team. They legitimately bottomed out last year and still won 9 games. This year cannot possibly go worse than a year where everyone got injured. This a playoff shoe-in imo. I legitimately believe this is a top 5 team in the league going into the season.

Bro I’ve been telling everyone who will listen colts are my dark horse this season! I’m slamming their win total over locking them to make play offs and a little drizzle on them to make it to the SB. Season opener against the Texans books will probably let them catch 7+ points that plus the over is already my favorite play and the season ain’t even started

Easr as hell and love the series! Can't wait for the Jets!
  • @Brizzly302
Colts are loaded all they really need is secondary offense is stacked they gonna be a thorn in teams sides this year
  • @16.sk_
love the channel bro, thank you for shining a light on my colts!
  • Few things about AR’s injuries. People act like he’s reckless but quite the opposite First injury: got it early in the first quarter. Took him out for 2 offensive plays down by 10 with 30 seconds left. Keeping him safe Second injury: concussions have been a huge thing the past 2 years. Huge issue the nfl needs to solve Third injury: freak accident with a 230+ pound guy landing on his shoulder at an awkward angle. He could’ve came back but the team opted for surgery so he would be safer

Love AR this season, placed a nice sum on AR MVP @ +2500
  • i know i am a colts fan so obviously biased, but i genuinely believe this could be a top 5 offense. Great Oline, great running back, young talented receivers. It all depends on Athony Richardson and if he can develop. He showed flashes last season. If he can continue to develop this team will be set up well. Not to mention we have an offensive mastermind who can scheme ways for his players to be successful. If everyone plays to their potential and stays healthy, this offense doesn't have a weakness. It is primarily dependent on Richardson's development. the defense could be good. Corners were an issue last year, but it was mostly an experience issue. Kenny Moore is good. Jaylon Jones and Juju Brents showed flashes. If they can develop we will be fine at corner, especially with Dallis flowers coming back. Safety is a bit thin. If we sign someone like Justin Simmons, it will greatly boost our secondary. Our front 7 is already elite. If we boost our secondary i think this defense could be top 10. I'm not sure I'm willing to say they are a dark horse contender, but i do think we are heavily being slept on. There are a lot of variables, but we could be sneaky great this season.
  • @LawrenceOwen
Dallis Flowers was the #1 outside starter last season (and not even on your list), and played very well until season ending injury. He'll be the starter again this year if healthy.
