  • ATTENTION: In the video I mentioned that there was a "crack" in the plastic portion where the wires connect. I was mistaken. This is actually a seam that is part of the manufacturing process. Thanks goes to the folks at Tone Monster for explaining what this was and how the unit was put together. It was not a crack at all, and is functioning completely as intended.

    As far as the screws tightening down the wire, you have to make sure that you have the right size screw tip, The little screwdriver that they supply is too small also, all of your cons sound like nitpicking all of tone monsters preamps are excellent whether you’re using passive pick ups or active pick ups. If you’re using active pick ups like EMGs you have to change the blend pot and the volume pot to 25K or 50 K.

    you need to buy the preamp with the passive tone and with that buy the passive tone enhancer all total it cost 120.00 the enhancer will give you the tone your looking for
