i love the detail of each character having unique interactions with death blow, like sonic, atomic samurai and metal bat clashing their weapons against it, even making sparks now THIS is the reason why patience is key, i've said it so many times that this game is quality over quantity

heres a quick explanation: anything that makes physical contact with your counter (such as a normal punch) will count, anything ranged will not. edit: upon closer inspection this only applies to specific moves, and move that moves you quickly will do the other variant.

Its cool cuz every moveset has its own counter animation, like when garou got countered he used two hands while attacking, sonic uses his sword to block, and metal bat uses his metal bat...

Fade you always have to be close to trigger the counter animation aswell as straight on, you have to be right next to them once they use the attack after the run
