brunner/huberli are ranked top 10 in the world and oddsmakers had them right behind cheng/hughes for the gold medal. disappointing to see USA beach volleyball women out of medal contention, but respect to canada and the swiss, they deserved it.

Brunner was a vacuum out there. The impecable defense for the swiss was the difference. Cheng and Hughes couldn't get in a rhythm because of it. Props to the Swiss, was a fun match to watch

Now our only hope lies in the men's side as they take on Polska Wednesday. Hopefully, it doesn't turn into a repeat of the Millennium Olympics in Sydney (where no US team in this sport made it to the podium)

I felt we were just not that good and now no medals for the women in of all things, beach volleyball?? 😢😢
