One thing I found beautiful was that in the first season Jake said "please Tom use the totem to save me, and he lost Tom", while this time he said "Connor use the totem on yourself" and he didn't lose anyone, I think that sentence is the end of the beautiful (even if it was infinite) redemption arc.
