I am no fan of the DEC, but somebody please explain to these people that a properly managed wetland will reduce the excess nitrogen and phosphorus that is causing the weed blooms and toxic algae. It will enhance their property. Why do they think that they can pollute the water with Lawn and garden products?

Clearly biased reporting, given the ominous music. Why does this matter? It's a local pet issue for rich people. Let them sell their homes and move somewhere else if they don't like the lake anymore. Otherwise they can put up with it.

The poor lake is completely surrounded with human houses and they all run their combustion engines on the lake and and they expect it to look like a swimming pool. And of course throw in some sea walls. The poor lake can only take so much. These old farts only think about themselves and their selfish wants. The fact that they can't grasp the benefit of the wetlands says it all.
