I've always loved the fact that people don't really portray The Doomslayer's movement the same as in the games. In most animations he walks slow and is intimidating, which is damn cool, but it would be refreshing to see him just absolutely booking it every now and again. Great animation though! Brightened up my day for sure!

Genuinely thought he'd pull the Doom Eternal thing where he stole that guy's rifle, and steal Steve's Diamond Sword so he could duel wield swords.

I feel like the Doomslayer was a little surprised to see Steve in the Nether/Hell, and mainly gave him the Super Shotgun because he figured that if Steve had the guts to go to the Nether with just a diamond helmet and sword, he was a man he could relate to and even respect, hence why he gifted his weapon of choice. Plus, knowing someone else is slaying demons may make Doomslayer just a little bit happy.

Canonically makes sense that he would have come across a universe like this at some point or another, seeing how he is literally god, eons old and has a history of jumping through the Multiverse.

Considering what Steve could do, I wouldn't put it past him to immediately start learning and crafting every DOOM weapon in existence.

This is my head canon for why he didn't have is old arsenal from Doom 4. He gave it all to other hell raisers who probably needed them more than he did

So few animations of doomguy show how it's literally just demons he hates so much, humans he's perfectly chill with, and even when shown aggression he just gently puts you in your place by stealing your gun
