Nearly 1,000 birds died Wednesday night after crashing into the windows at McCormick Place Lakeside Center, likely due to a combination of the convention center's bright lights and the rainy weather. The birds met their death while making their migratory journey south.

Idiots had this problem before. They was told to put decals in the windows. They know. To late for the birds.

Seems like some kind of bad omen for our city of Chicago

I had three birds (that I know of) fly into my windows on October 7th. One hit so hard it broke its neck. This rarely happens, but 3 in one day in extremely unusual.

Poor birds! Just another reason why I hate all these new modern buildings with all that ugly glass. My old self, loves Chicago's older architecture and I'm sad that it's being destroyed for glass boxes 😞

It’s death in the air. This not a coincidence.
  • This is sooo disgusting, especially as the owners of this place know it's happened before on many occasions! Get your act together, and DO something to prevent this from happening again, ever. Birds migrate twice a year, you need to do something well before next April, 2024.
  • We have dead birds in las vegas too. Also why are fish acting weird everywhere and a lot being found ☠️ on beach shores?

I saw a dead hawk in south shore. Hawks just don’t die.

It's the sign of incoming disaster !!!

lets add outside paint murals where you see out great without obstructing view from inside but birds can see the paint murals more easily from outside cmon a billion dollar building project and that was overlooked...nice job planners
  • Man, these comments really show how bold ignorant people can be. Y'all sound like you live in a movie, a really bad one.

Nobody questioning the signal that was beaming for 30 minutes straight when the alert was let off 0ct 4th?!?

@0:55 the guy says: "when birds are migrating, they can't fly through windows..." - so then, they can fly through windows if they are not migrating? Yes, I know, but it just sounds so strange...
  • I seen a random dead duck. I’ve never seen it before. No bleeding or nothing. I’ve seen 6 dead birds within 2 weeks. That’s not normal
