Since I talked about the KCD beers...I just realized I also wanted to mention that another part of the merch Warhorse made in collaboration with a distillery called Žufánek was the Saviour Schnapps which is called Sejvovice in Czech version of KCD and the real alcohol that used to be sold here was fruit brandy which we call slivovice in my country ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slivovitz ). It's a shame I forgot to mention it in the video because it's a rather interesting topic. I guess that slivovice is to Czechs something like moonshine to Americans because it's also traditionally made or distributed not exactly legally usually just between friends. It's very popular in the Czech Republic though.
  • I think this is a great time for you to finally complete KCD. It's much less buggy now, you have access to cool IRL events with Warhorse people, and you can make KCD content in the runup to the release of KCD 2. The YouTube algorithm will reward you handsomely.

Man, I'd love for a dev company to make a medieval game set in Transylvania.

As I Pole I loved KCD and I can't wait for the KCD2. Two days earlier I saw a Czech tourism stand during a festival in Szczecin and got myself a replica of Bohemian Groszen coin. Cheers from Poland ❤

I actually really liked the soundtrack. Especially the main one I believe it’s called Skalitz 1403. I also like when things with a medieval setting use historically, and regionally accurate instruments too. This soundtrack of KCD gives me that nostalgic classic whimsical medieval fairy-tale vibe though. Obviously the music style is not exactly accurate to the time period, but since I grew up watching medieval movies with orchestral soundtracks my brain just kinda makes that association I guess.

Great video, but to the music: it is definitely the highlight of the game. It enhances the story and the experience of exploring the locations. It is not about being historically accurate in this case but about creating the atmosphere with music. Also, the music pieces in taverns, etc. are quite accurate.

Tvoje videa jsou fakt super. Hrozně z nich jde cítit, jak to máš rád a jak si pro to nadšený a úplně to z nich přechází na mě. Díky za ně, ať se daří.

i Bought KCD when it was relised and the optimalisation for my pc was tragic. now it is way better and i am loving it

Saying that they shouldn't have used orchestral music is kind of like saying they should have made all the textures with fresco painting
  • Tuhle hru miluji, po oznámení zahájení prací na druhém díle ji hraji znovu, v češtině s polskými titulky. Díky tomu je hra ještě lepší než v angličtině :-) Pozdravy z Polska! 🙂

I'm really looking forward to your KCD videos. I didn't even care about that part of the world before but the game really made me interested about the culture and even the religious themes, what an incredibly beautiful game, and it's interesting to know the one behind it is a pretty cool guy.

Love the game and how it depicts the area and era; stuff like the architecture, murals, artisans, farms and fields are simply chefs kiss. It's so unapologetically and wonderfully rural. But the combat system, even if based on actual historical european martial arts, always gave me a headache.

KCD is such an amazing game, I loved every moment of it. From the map, a replica of real locations to the nature which is wonderful, you can get lost in the the woods for hours and the sandbox nature of the game just pulls you in. It's a truly European game and you can feel it at every moment, if you love medieval times this is a must play game (also Manor Lords came out this year ❤). The medieval immersion is just amazing, I even changed the audio to Czech at the very start and I can't imagine playing it any other way. The perks are great (True Slav FTW), the characters are so interesting and memorable, I can't recommend this game enough. I feel sorry for to hear that you don't game anymore, but I know what you mean. Time is a big issue as you get older, but for some titles it's worth it. People shouldn't stop playing video games, you just have to be very selective and focus on just a few worthwhile titles.
  • @fafiklata
Hello man, good to hear from you! 🙂
  • @vivanesca
KCD is a game i cant stop yearning for, it has such an amazing atmosphere. Is it as big for the Czech as the Witcher is for Poles?
  • Some KCD stream with your commentary might be interesting. I also wasn't able to play the game when it came out, but now a week ago I finally finished it. The graphics there are beautiful, but the story of the game sometimes felt like a Hollywood movie, which I hate.
  • @ivanstrydom8417
Good video sir. May God Three in One bless your endeavours.

More than KCD I am obsessed with Daniel Vavra. He made my favourite game from childhood, Mafia : City of Lost Heaven. I want to move to Czech because of the game devs
