When I finished the movie, I thought to myself, “Damn the soundtrack is phenomenal.” When I went to look up the composer and not to my surprise it was Hans Zimmer.
  • Daniel Bruhl deserved an Oscar for this film. even Niki Lauda's family were shocked that he nailed it so perfectly, even his voice.
  • I was in love with the Fast and Furious series... then I watched Rush and Ford vs Ferrari... now I have a logical brain.

This was my father's favourite track, he never liked classical pieces but he loved this one. Rest in peace Dad, His name was James, he died at 57 from a heart attack and i miss you more everyday.

As a Brazilian, I would love to see a movie like this covering Prost and Senna rivalry.

When I first saw this movie I wanted it to win an Oscar But after watching it over and over again I think the Oscar doesn’t deserve this

Niki Lauda: Of course he didn't listen to me. For James, one world title was enough. He had proved what he needed to prove. To himself and anyone who doubted him. And two years later, he retired. When I saw him next in London, seven years later, me as a champion again, him as broadcaster, he was barefoot on a bicycle with a flat tire, still living each day like his last. When I heard he died age 45 of a heart attack, I wasn't surprised. I was just sad. People always think of us as rivals but he was among the very few I liked and even fewer that I respected. He remains the only person I envied.
  • This movie is a reminder of what is it that a man really wants. For most, this is a rivalry, racing, and a movie about cars. But beneath that, it is far more engrossing for men because it portrays in unsaid words what men respect.

-"I'll see you on raceday champ." -"You will, champ!"

Hans zimmer was robbed oscar for GLADIATOR INCEPTION RUSH INTERSTELLAR
  • In my culture, when one of your parents dies, one of the ways to grieve is not to listen to any songs for an entire year. Today marks a year since my father passed away suddenly at just 58 years old. The first thing I listened to after the year passed was this masterpiece. Thank you, Hanns.

I started to hate Oscars after Daniel Bruhl didn't get one for his performance....Extremely rare to see such finesse and panache portraying a living legend !!!

"... but trust me, watching you win those races, while I was fighting for my life, you were equally responsible for getting me back in the car" One of the best movie ever made

1976 was the year that introduced me to Formula1 and then hooked me the 12 year old me on it. Being British I cheered for James Hunt but, secretly, I preferred Nikki Lauda. I thought he was a much more complete driver. I wonder if Hunt would have won the championship that year if Lauda hadn't had that horrendous crash, I suspect not. Many years later I was fortunate enough to meet Lauda at Silverstone. I was just one person in the crowd so didn't get to chat but I said Hi and he nodded at me. Not much but it made my day. When you see this film you have to respect the guys who strapped themselves into what were essentially bombs and tried to make them go as fast as they could. I have been fortunate enough to drive an open wheel racing car. It was one of best experiences of my life and at the same time the worst. Best because .... Just WOW! Worst because it teaches you how hard these things are to drive and I realised I'd never be good enough to drive an F1 car.
