Publicado 2023-01-11
AS always I'm trying to show you something about China you may not know.
Today's focus is China's Public Toilet sanitary and how it stacks up to where you live.
We will look at multiple random locations and along the way I will add some commentary about things you might not know about Chinese life.
You will find in modern China most cities are kept extremely clean to provide a pleasant environment for locals and visitors alike.

I haven't been back to China in quite a number of years, but it seems to improve drastically every year. The west reports the opposite about China while conditions degrade in our own countries.

For anyone who wants to see some of the nastiest toilets, check out the porta-potties at any public beaches in the US in the summer.

No place in the world is perfect or ever will be; what matters is finding ways to continuously improve.

Such a real video, this is the first time I see a video made for public toilets, hahaha.

The city is cleaner than many european cities.

They have public toilets. Whereas in many European cities, you can hardly find one. People just do it in side streets or alcoves.

It's good to have public toilets and keep it clean. I don't even mind to pay for each use. I think China has been improving a lot in this area. I went back to Vietnam few years ago, there are many things to eat, but can't find a clean public toilet. I was worried about eating and drinking too much water and no place to release.

My first visit to China was in 1987. The toilets at that time were horribly unhygienic and upkeep! In my succeeding visits, the toilet facility improved markedly. I am currently visiting Malaysia my wife's birthplace. I must admit the toilets here are some thirty years behind of China!
  • I've been multiple times in China over the last twenty years. Public toilets have improved. Better, more accessible, cleaner and not only squat toilets. Travelling with smaller children causes lots of spontaneous visits to the toilet 🙂

Some people like to laugh at China's 'toilet revolution' but they speak from a position of entitlement and they don't understand what a big improvement this is. Thanks for showing how it really is.

Try going into Melbourne Australias famous Flinders Street station. U can smell the stench from miles away. Walking down the streets of Melbourne u can also spot alot of 'pee spots' along Swanston Street.

Good information and informative. Public convenience is essential to every tourist. I remember once taking the family of 4 to Venice in Italy and discovered there was no public convenience there. The only place for relief was the McDonald's. China's public convenience facility rises with its economic development. Today the country is well managed with a large number of parks so we can expect the public facilities will not disappoint.

This is interesting, thanks for showing this.

There are no public toilets on the streets of England. Not that I know of. Even the public toilets in shopping malls and restaurants are not as clean as those in China.

It's amazing that one country that has a population twice the size of Europe runs in such an organized and clean way, And who is not amazed and jealous of the incredible success of the human god of the Chinese, Kudos to the Chinese who are an example to the world.

you kidding me right? In U.S. the only toilet that is remotely clean is the one in my house. Gas station, public toilet? You kidding me right, it's like 4th world country here in US!
