I looked up Mario Buatta’s version here: Mario Buatta and the English Room- The glampad. It is quite evident what a massive talent Buatta really was. The decor is 45 yrs old, yet the rooms still look amazingly fresh. Respect.

Love your grandmother’s murano paperweights and love how they are perfectly nestled in that beautiful secretary’s cubbies. My aunt traveled the world but Italy was always her favorite destination. She left behind an amazing collection of murano. I still have them on the lower glass shelf of my LR coffee table. Their sparkle in the winter sun is a wonderful memory. This is what makes a home! PS-I’m in Charlotte too!
