I am an old Black woman who experienced extreme abuse, by my mother, because she preferred my lighter skinned sisters. Just because you have children of a darker hue doesn’t mean that you don’t engage in colorism. Colorism is still pervasive throughout the Black community. Just look at who successful Black men, from movie stars, rappers, musicians, politicians, athletes and the rest, where 99% of them choose light skinned sistahs and White women. Anderson Cooper performed the,”Black doll test”, shortly after Obama’s election. Most of the Black children chose the White doll as the smartest and the prettiest. Self hatred is still pervasive in our community because we have yet to heal from more than 400 years of ongoing trauma.

He is not licensed, and the APA has denounced him. What we need to do is have his show removed from the OWN network.
