Hi Tish, My daughter got a cat she has had about 5 years now. She said the reason she got a cat is because they do not require any maintenance. No walking, or bathing . She got it from a shelter. Her cat is a house cat.she is the best cat. She doesn’t climb on anything at all. She doesn’t jump on the sofa until my daughter motions for her to go on the sofa. She is a beautiful cat. If you don’t have time, I suggest a cat. But make sure the cat is a house cat and a timid cat. Good luck with your fur baby.

My dog is so important to me. You can absolutely have a dog while working full time. But a puppy does require a lot of work. Idk how old your kids are but it teaches them so much responsibility respect love and life skills. It does make it difficult when you want to go out of town but I have lupus and end up in the hospital, I have lots of people that help me out with my dog. She keeps me active and helps me so much. She understands so much!! When I’m sick and when I’m Able to go out and play. She’s amazing and a rescue but I’ve had dogs all my life and won’t be without them.

I have started a basket for our next fur baby as it will be 4 years since ours passed. She was a great help for our autistic son❤ Love your channel!

I've had animals my entire life....dogs, cats, hamsters, bunnies, turtles lol Animals bring a comfort & love to you like nothing else. I Also think make people become more caring & compassionate

I’ve always had a pet my entire life. Being home 100% around the clock is never a requirement. A commitment to love and protect is. Just like your kids. He’s just coming up with an excuse. You can foster a pet in from the shelter and rehome it. You can offer a staycation break to a shelter dog just for the weekend. I have 2 teen boys and 3 dogs. We travel often. We just make it work cuz our pets are family members.

It took almost three years of me convincing my hubby for a puppy..until this past Christmas he surprised me with my chii-poo..girl I cried like a baby 😂😂😂

A dog shouldn’t be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time, I had two yorkies and worked part time so that worked out well, now I am home all day I have a cocker spaniel who is never left alone or she gets separation anxiety so she goes where we go and we all love that 🐶😊🇬🇧

Take hubby to an animal shelter it gets them every time 😂😂😂 he will keave with a puppy😂😂😂

Hi tish, I had 6 dogs and 11 cats, and my husband and I both worked full time. We have 2 daughters, and both were in school. I worked at a veterinarian clinic for 15 years and loved it. You can learn so much from animals. They are always a step ahead of us. If you're looking for a dog, do your research on maintenance (grooming, etc) and breed. Some are more high-strung, where others are laid back. Play with their feet, ears, and mouth that alone will tell you about their temper. Golden retrievers are very affectionate but also will protect your girls. Cats are also awesome pets and can be trained to go on a harness and leash. Take your time searching, because the pet will pick you before you pick it. That's how you know you have the right pet. ❤😊
