I love that you don’t cut out the “not so perfect” moments because that keeps it REAL! Most of us from time to time, no matter how “accomplished” we are, have a cake that sticks, comes out in pieces (and pie crusts). We have over frothed more times than we can count. Kudos to you for teaching math and reading while calmly allowing your helper to help. Good job Mama!!
  • Loved how you made baking both a reading and math lesson also. I just love Harrison. He is so enthusiastic and appreciative of the final result.❤

Sounds delicious. Harrison cracks me up! Looks like he loves spending time with his Mom! 💕

I love how your videos are so normal like real people. I always make a mess when I’m the kitchen. That little Harrison is just so precious. And your Hedesa and Mitchell have so much patience with the 3 younger ones. It was cute Kendrick showing Harrison how to play that finger string game. I’m making a pumpkin roll today. I will freeze some for Thanksgiving. Thanks RuthAnn for giving a wonderful look into farming life. You and Elvin are really really kind and generous loving parents. I hope others incorporate your values into their lives. The world would be a better place

Another great video. Your recipes are not complicated and use common items. Thank you. You are so patient with your son helping He will never forget the time he spent with you
  • Ruthann your family life is such an inspiration to me. It’s very clear that what you are filming is your ‘real’ life, i can tell because of the way your son looks at you, and you at him….full of love! You have such a calm, gentle, sweet manner with your children as well as us viewers! It’s a pleasure to watch your channel and learn from you. Lots of love from Melbourne, Australia!

Your children are blessed; you are a wonderful mum. 👏

I love that you’ve included your son in this project. When I was homeschooling our kids, we learned fractions in the kitchen.

So great that Harrison said, “but It’s a non-stick pan”. Oh, how many times I have thought this myself!
  • @riverduck3
The filming of the boys having fun in the creek with the fall trees all around - just gorgeous! They will have so many priceless memories to look back on!

  • My kids (2 girls, one boy) we always in the kitchen with me and often by themselves creating on their own…..yes there were burned fingers and lips, and sometimes wasted food but they all grew up learning to clean up their mess and being great cooks !!! I’m proud of them ❤

Oh…Ruthann , You are one of very few women that work so hard providing for your family! May God surround you w/His goodness…always! God bless the Zimmerman family & your homestead too! I enjoy your videos & your precious family! Take Care & keep well! 🤗🙏🏻👏🏻
  • Ruthann, That was such a joy watching you double the recipe with Harrison! ‘1/2, that’s not much at all!’ Fractions…always depends on the whole! 😊 Great job working with math and reading while enjoying a wonderful baking experience with Mom, Harrison! 🤓❤️👩🏻‍🍳👨‍🍳
  • I love your interaction with Harrison when he joins you in the kitchen. Your love for each other just flows off the screen.
  • I love it that Harrison is helping out and getting his just rewards ( licking bowls & spatulas & whisk) awwwww that brings me back to my childhood
  • @ninagonzales969
Thank you Ruthann for sharing the reminder of how you get paid! I wouldn’t have deliberately let the commercials run after the video if it wasn’t for your message. I’m not completely sure how YouTube works, but I appreciate not being interrupted during the video, and instead can keep the video going after the end to allow for the commercials to play I like the thought, that in some small way, I am able to support your efforts in sharing your family’s faith, values, and daily experiences. You and your family are a pleasure to watch!

Loved, loved, loved this video! Thank you for not editing out little messes or mistakes. Helps the rest of us so much because as we are learning and trying new things, there are indeed messes and mistakes along the way! You are such an encouraging teacher. My favorite part of this video, though, was when you whistled for the family to come to dinner. For many years I've relied on my whistle to get children to come in from playing...and now, for my husband to come in from working. Better than a dinner bell! Blessings, Marie
