I loved the joy on the girls' faces on their journey. Candide is a perfect name . Well done.

This is one amazing couple! The girls were so young when I first started to watch their adventure. Their talents, individual and combined, displayed throughout the renovation, informed and growing along the way, is example-setting. How they manage all of it with two small children while living in a new country-environment; accessing and managing help(ers) of all variety to assist them and building a warm and enduring friendship with Benoit -- all while also maintaining a sincere 'family life'. Their journey is an uplift at every turn.
  • About Voltaire and "cultivating your garden", Voltaire meant your " inner you" which should constantly be educated by learning to know yourself, to adapt your activity and knowledge for making you a better person

When I was 16, in mid-summer, I crewed on a 68-foot ketch along the coast and through the islands of Norway and Sweden. Best trip ever. Fell madly in love with both countries, but Sweden's islands are especially charming. Freezing cold water, midnight sun, and fantastic food. Safe travels. Will be watching your wonderful vlogs! 🇫🇷 🇸🇪 ⛵️

What a lovely man to come all that way to help you with your boat

A man is always happiest when tinkering with his boat. Look at the Joy on Phillips face. Now, that's a happy man.

Lovely boat, thoughtful husband and father, beautiful and supportive wife and mother. May your travels be full of blessings. So excited to watch your adventures unfold.
  • Philipp, I applaud your chocie to name the boat Candide. Optimism is always the better choice. I grew up with my paternal italian grandfather. Whenever I became upset or complained about things he always told me, " during your life there will be many difficult or unfair things. But you have a choice, Life can frustrate you or fascinate you. With frustration you will become an angry old man. If you look at life with facination life will always hold promise and joy. The choice is yours." So your explanation of Candide rang familiar to me. Boun viaggio to you and your wonderful family!

Candide is a wonderful name. Have many fine adventures. I will be watching all of them. "Set sail in the direction of your dreams."
  • @onething247
Since the dinghy is Oompah Loompa the boat could be named Golden Ticket!
  • @lenaaxelsson5103
Of course they are not selling the castle. Just a littel goodbye break to go to Sweden and sailing the new boat (I guess😊)

I can not believe how tall Lily has grown such an elegant jeune mademoiselle now! Bon voyages and Philip your scrubbing the deck skills were awesome.
  • Hang an umbrella upside-down under your railing when working on the boat. The umbrella will catch falling fasteners.
  • What a fantastic log. Actually in tears as I found the whole reunion and naming quite emotional! Safe sailing folks, God bless all.

Anna will have to block print your logo on the Sail. Or create a Crest
  • @brendandbarry
We find using sleeping bags are a lot easier to deal with on the boat than conventional bedding

Philip! I’m so happy for your fulfilling your dreams, the purchase of your perfect boat and setting sail with your family! Beautiful ❤❤❤

On the Tall Ships we used Oxalic acid to keep the decks nice.
