"When I have one of the hands you've had we'll see how it goes" -folds a full house to 8 high

The fact that he finished the run with 7 2 off suit, the worst hand in poker, and almost got a straight flush. It's poetry

I've watched this at least 20 times and it never gets old. "I think I'll call with a 5" and Daniel simulating an explosion with his hands is priceless.

I love the little dynamic between these two. Daniel handle's his tantrums really well, and Phil clearly has a lot of respect for Daniel. His rants are from frustration but half-joking compared to pretty much any other person he's ranted against.

I swear. I watched one video on how to play poker in Red Dead Redemption 2, and now my feed is swarmed by Daniel Negreanu.

"If I could have one hand against Daniel..." You mean, like a full house?
  • I’m not a huge poker fan, but man do I love watching Phil get tilted 😂
  • @Taureg
"You have no clue where you are on this hand" haha Phil never disappoints

I just clicked on a random recommended video and now I'm stuck in a Daniel Negreanu black hole. And I'm not mad at it

its funny how the other 2 players want nothing to do with this.. immediate folds every time.

I've rewatched that "I think I'll call you with a 5" over and over. Makes me smile every time.
  • Daniel and Phil is one of my favorite rivalries because it never gets personal. Phil can never question Daniel's etiquette and knowledge

Hellmuth plays the cards, Daniel plays the opponent.

Phil Hellmuth: The king of checking when he's ahead, and betting when he's behind

Phill is unironically one of the funniest people and he doesnt even do it on purpose
  • An era so legendary it got people who never gave af about poker and would never give af about poker again to actually sit down and enjoy some poker. There was like a solid 3 month stretch where I was OBSESSED with poker thanks to these legends among others. It really is such a beautiful game and I never would have given it the time of day. It was always just that thing my dad would put on TV when we travelled to America and there was NOTHING else on and everyone was in bed. Im fond of my poker era, I dont wanna get TOO extra but I feel I learned a lot about the world through understanding poker. It changed my perspective on high level sports completely, honestly I would reccomend poker to any aspiring athletes (or gamers) if you can manipulate an opponent into doing what you want in poker it apllies to just about every other situation too. I think I need to get back into poker 😂. Its just so pure I love it, equally complex and simple, what a game.
  • When Daniel points at his shitty 7/2 and says “straight flush draw” I lost it.

I listen to this video every once in a while, when I need to be cheered! This legendary sequence of Hellmuth tilts ands rant after he folds his full to a Negreanu bluff is GOLDEN!! The players chatting about Hellmuth at the table, combined with the commentators laughs and comments is still legendary!

I love the interaction after the first hand. Negreanu just lets Hellmuth talk and is gracious, doesn't try to rub it in or anything, meanwhile Hellmuth really thinks Negreanu had the better hand.
