Nier - The story of Emil

Emil is one of my favorite characters of all time from any game/movie/book/or any kind of media just in general so I've really been itching to do this video. His backstory is really the heaviest in-between the dips of the games which doesn't leave a whole lot to work with in-game. But he's by far one of my favorite characters in the Drakengard/Nier universe, which makes this one of my favorite projects to date.

yoko taro: *creates emil, the nicest and most selfless character ever * me: wow, what a sweet child... he's so pure-hearted and innocent and just so angelic, he really deserves- yoko taro: hahahahaha he's gonna fall into an abyss of eternal suffering and he'll be trapped in a never ending vicious circle of torture forever

As much as I love Emil, I want him to die. He is such a nice person, even after all this time. After everything he has been through, he deserves to rest. If there is an afterlife in the NieR universe, I can't help but imagine that Kainé, Nier, Halua, Weiss, and everyone else are just waiting for him to come home...

Emil is an example of a truly selfless human being . With all the tragics of his life , he would still do anything to help and protect others , I adore his character . His story is so sad it hurts .

"EVERYDAY'S A SALEEEEEE. EVERY SALE'S A WINNNNNNNNNN."
-
Doesn't this mean Emil is the last (known) human on earth? Or atleast the closest thing to human left...

I just want to take a moment to point out, the emil you converse with in automata is the original. His memories are so fractured that he thinks he's a clone, but the game actually says in the logs that it was the original Emil who spoke up at the end.
-
In short, being Emil is suffering.
-
AND THE BUTLER HAD TO BE NAMED SEBASTIAN THANK YOU TARO. THANK YOU.
-
If you read the archive for the Emil (Hegel ver.) boss it actually confirms that the Emil you interacted with in the game was the original Emil all along.
-
It should also be noted that the aliens used Emil's likeness to construct the machines to fight him, machines that probably would not have been built if Emil was not there as the aliens would have easily won otherwise. A minor note, Emil is the only one left with magic power in the Nier universe in the future timeline.

I felt like such an ass for taking Emil's stuff and then having to beat up the poor guy. Why Yoko Taro, why couldn't you just let me go to the desert with Emil normally?
-
Emil.. my fucking boy :'(

Prepare to Cry: Emil
-
So wait.... Emil has been around for over 9 millennia? Living, dying, fighting, and simply trying to be what he is? Shieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

These Yoko Taro games are one of the best games of all time. Everything. Is there. Awesome characters, amazing storytelling, unique level design+atmosphere and fantastic music. Wow. Yoko Taro definitely has to become a renowned name in gaming if he isn't already. Complete masterpieces he has made.

They seriously need to adapt the back stories of this series into movies or anime. The Nierengard universe has so much interesting back story hidden in the games and side stories.

EVERY DAY'S A SALE

If you Think about it, emil was the last human being alive after the first nier. After He blew himself up He searched for his friends just to Discover that they died AT the Gestalt Project or Were killed by Random Aliens. His mind Went nuts and He multiplied himself to fight Aliens for 10.000 years! He is just a shell of his Old Self But reminded sane. For a kid to experience All that is just sick like the rest of This franchise.
