    Some 15 odd years ago I had bought 2 ounces of dried Porchini mushrooms (selling price was a $120-00 per pound weight of dried Porchinis. They deliver a very strong mushroom flavor for the small amount of Porchini necessary to impart that special taste and aroma. I understood them to be of Italian origin.
