Interesting hearing legend talk about the lore of Gorfang Rotgut and where he should be starting....don't hear him mention lore stuff very often!
  • With Grimgor no longer at Black Crag, just maybe Gorfang Rotgut could get moved there if they ever make him playable.
  • @loowick4074
Also note that in a fight between Gorfang and Queek in the lore. Queek could do nothing to him. His Armor was too thick even for dwarf gouger. Gorfang is probably gonna be a FLC if he comes and will be equivalent to Gor rok as just a tanky lord option. He has a rivalry with kazador but dunno if that will materialize.

Great Lore side note Legend. Let's hope someone at CA is watching your videos and makes a note about this.
  • @baldur4ever
Would also add his taking Karak Eight Peaks bonuses into his faction ones. Getting frenzy for Stormvermin (garrisons included) is pretty nice.
  • @PAUL-ESNEED
Queek is the only Skaven LL I played because I was too dumb for the other ones. He's real simple.
  • Hearing you talk about Rotgut makes me think that maybe CA should do an FLC lord pack for the current “legendary” lords like Rotgut, the Red Duke, Boris, and so on Also you did not mention it in the video but it is very important, holding Eight Peaks gives all stormvermin frenzy factionwide
  • @icaindianen
Since clan rictus is the "lots of stormvermin clan" lorewise, I think Queek should get other bonuses, both personally and factionwise. Like more clanrat related buffs factionwide to make them really really cost effective. Maybe some stormvermin buffs for his own army rather than upkeep reduction, since afaik Mors is more known for quality and loyalty.

I love Getting a REALLY early stormvermin frontline with Queek. The siege weapon, 2 chieftains, 1 warlock engineer, 5 sword and shield and 4 halbert stormvermin that you can get at really high rank with Queeks skills and go red line to make them REALLY strong. And soon after or just before you recruit the stormvermin you should be conquering Eight Peaks and giving all your infantry frenzy that makes them even more powerful.

These videos are fantastic. Perfect length, helpful for picking a campaign to start, and I really like the bits of lore through out them.

I found Queek's campaign to be one of the hardest in IE. The beginning Greenskin faction is easy to deal with. So is Karak Azul. But after taking down the Greenskin faction you will come into contact with Wurrzag, who is always a powerhouse in every campaign and spams waaghs. If Wurrzag declares war while you are fighting the Dwarfs, it gets complicated very fast. You'll find yourself fighting multiple 40 unit armies and if you fail to ambush the, you'll have to fight all 40 units which will be near impossible at such an early stage. Soon after you'll come into contact with Thorgrim, and the Skarsnik AI cannot deal with him so you'll have to. Skarbrand will hold the south for a while, but eventually Khalida, Settra, and Thorek will come into contact with you and you can easily find yourself at war with one or all of them. Queek's campaign can be easy if you are able to take every enemy one at a time. Random war declarataions can quickly throw this campaign off track and make it extremely difficult as you find yourself fighting wars on 3 fronts with a skaven faction that has no bonus to wizards and built-in loyalty problems for new lords, making it difficult to raise snap armies to defend settlements without causing more problems for yourself through defections.

My first campaign ever was Queek, so he and his little maniacs have a soft spot in my warpstone-shaped heart
  • @Daktangle
6:40 Exactly was what I was after. I never really know what I'm doing with Skaven, and the DLC lords overwhelm me with their stuff, so knowing Queek is a good "babies first Skaven" is great, thank you!
  • @TheRewasder97
I love Mors because it's the true Vermintide campaign, with lots and lots of clanrats from armies and summons and some storm vermin and weapon teams thrown into the mix. Not the strongest, but definitely a fun campaign to play in lower difficulties. Also SFO doubles down on it, I can't recommend it enough.
  • @novarat4089
the grey seer penalty makes sense lorewise. iirc clan mors is the black sheep of the skaven clans, with the other clans viewing them with a mixture of confusion and fear. the grey seers especially hate them because they cant understand or control how the loyalty among clan mors works
  • @MrTinman712
I love skaven, theyre my go to faction. But out of all the skaven LL Ive had the hardest time with queek. Every campaign I play with the guy I get overwhelmed on all fronts from factions travelling accross the continent, sometimes high elves and lizardmen trekking all the way from accross the sea just so they can attack at eight peaks. My last attempt is turn 180 and havent been able to even attempt to go for a campaign victory as the entire campaign has been a matter of survival with new enemies declaring war on me from every cardinal direction. Im able to hold and deal with them as they come, but ive had less stress fighting the uphill battle in lustria with skrolk
  • Clan Mors may not have rat ninjas or biological weapons, mutated monstrosities or world ending nukes, but what they do have is something just a terrifying. Something that no other Skaven Clan can boast: Loyalty.
  • the penalties to grey seers are the best part, imo gives you a reason to try new stuff also even with the stacking penalties you can still easily use them and then maintain their loyalty with a chieftain, an army and some items
  • @horsem.d.7979
They need to give queek ska bloodtail as a legendary hero. I know sfo already has him, but he should be in vanilla.
