Rory in top form, and speaking truth and not hyperbole today. Clearlake have turned a top club into Brighton, and all due respect for Brighton as it works well for them to have this model, but it is a complete disaster for a club that has spent 2 billion quid buying players left, right and centre with no team building simply to have a business model. And while Abramovic also used Chelsea's illustrious academy to finance the first team, there was distinct hierarchy and team building of ready made players. Clearlake have bought expensive inexperienced players for the money generated on incredibly long contracts where the aim in all they are doing is using loopholes to get as many players in and out of the door as possible and the managers too. They have even exceeded Abramovic penchant for sacking managers. And Clearlake are hiring managers you'd expect at Brighton.
