-
Donāt forget chickens as the gateway drug to homesteadingā¦. š
-
Also being really good at a random instrument for no reason
-
"Graduating early" and "working at Chick Fil A" lol
-
As a lifelong homeschooler, I can relate to the inability to tell which grade youāre in or āwe donāt really do gradesā.
-

We now need a public school drug commercial š

Lack of socialization / Extreme socialization is so real. Also love how it's the first thing people ask about with homeschooling š¤£

I have taken this drug my whole life, and now I'm just learning about the side effects? Why don't they label these things?!
-
This is just amazing! āIntense love of the princess brideā āMemorization of veggie talesā This video literally summed up my childhood

On the other hand, here's public schooling for the last century or so. "The evil is most serious with young children because of their youth. Many of them, while making good progress in the three R's, outgrow their tendency to ask questions and to raise objections, in other words lose their mental boldness or originality, by the time they have attended school four years. But all along, from the kindergarten to the college, there is almost a likelihood that the self will be undermined while acquiring knowledge, and that, in consequence, one will become permanently weakened while supposedly being educated. In this respect it is dangerous to attend a school of any grade." --McMurry, Frank M. ( Morton). How to Study and Teaching How to Study (1909) The key is to overcome the idea a child must be broken to the classroom and inculcated with "school helplessness"

Marketing scam. I was homeschooled for 12 years and only have about half of those symptoms.
-
Okay, this is very true... We're smart. But not very good with our own age groups. Old people love us though!

I love that they added both lack of socialization and extreme socialization since it really depends on the family and we always get those āunsocializedā comments from unknowledgeable people. Also āextreme love of Princess Brideā is spot on š
