You did good by buying a genuine Mikuni rebuild kit. I rebuilt mine using a cheep kit from Amazon and no matter what I did I could not get it to run right. I bit the bullet an bought the OEM ones and it runs great. Most people bypass the oil injection in favor of pre-mix. It can foul the plugs though. Of course your results may very.

The gas/oil you mixed for the spray bottle is really dark, looks like it has way too much oil. That combined with the pool of oil that was in the engine might have fouled out the plugs. The engine needs very little oil without a load, if you're going to add oil to the sprayer measure it, don't guess, 50:1 will be plenty. The pool of oil is an indication of a likely problem, but if the motor sat for many years it's not necessarily something that needs to be fixed.
