  • The Princess isn’t trapped in the castle with the demons, the demons are trapped in the castle with her.

Mark my words. Jujutsen no Kaisen is gonna be the next big anime. The manga itself has roughly 10 million copies in circulation as well!
  • Hi, I music directed that animator dormitory project! Thank you SO much for spotlighting it, it truly means the world. Animators in Japan face grueling workloads, tiny paychecks, and absolutely devastating struggles to follow their dreams and create the art we all know and love. Your support is deeply appreciated, and I am truly grateful to everyone who takes the time to support these artists!

Man I'm surprised Talentless Nana got an anime, I remember reading the manga a few years back and thinking it was too dark for TV, goes to show how the anime landscape has changed
  • I definitely recommend Akudama Drive, the narrative is pretty unique and I personally see a lot of potential for it.
  • This is probably the best time for akudama drive to come out considering the release date of cyberpunk 2077

I was absolutely floored by Akudama Drive’s beautiful ending. I felt like I just walked out of a movie theatre and was just left with silence. The whole thing is an eyegasm, especially with the motorcycle scenes, and I am amazed with what Studio Pierrot can put their minds to when their animators aren’t subjected to long running anime budgets. Everything seemed to click with this anime (apart from perhaps the opening idk it wasn’t my thing). Definitely top 5 in my favorite anime of 2020 because of how unique and fun it was.

Tonikawa feels like an advertisment to encourage japanese people to get married xD

"Built different and it hits different too" Hey! How the heck allowed Gigguk to touch the script? Get him out of there!

Bro. I just watched Akudama Drive's first episode and it has some insanely stunning shots. It kinda feels to me like AoT and Jojo had a neo-noir lovechild and I am here for it.

I AM INSANELY IN LOVE WITH MORIARTY THE PATRIOT

“It’s like the Peach sections in Paper Mario, if Princess Peach was a narcoleptic axe murderer” Watched the first 2 episodes. Can confirm. She kills literally dozens of residents to get materials for her bed.

Five years? Nasa waited three years. 18 (his age now)-15(his age about to enter high school)=3.

I love the concept of having a villain who does bad to achieve good and justice, that the ends justifies the means from Moriarty. However, they’ve got a lot of the architecture all wrong and I can’t ignore it. The gargoyles are the sort you would see on Notre dame, not London and many building are mainland European, some of which I’ve definitely seen in Prague

Akudama Drive: you can definitely tell someone on their writing teams loves 90s films given the Episode names too - all fantastic movies mentioned so far by the way imo (ie, Se7en, Reservoir Dogs, Mission: Impossible).

I just kicked 300 toward the new animator project. It's a good cause, plus some of the names attached to it? Casey Lee Williams? Kevin Penkin? Insaneintherainmusic? Adrisaurus? It's insane
  • @Quanze
My take of Jujutsu Kaisen after the first episode was Bleach meets Mob Psycho, and I'm all for it.

Using the Danganronpa music for Talentless Nana was a connection I wish I'd seen sooner
