"Who doesn't like being around kind people?" - the motto of my life from now on.
  • My therapist told me recently, "“I couldn’t be upset with you for not giving mercy to others cause I saw that you had none for yourself." That really hit me.
  • @seddyy
scary how this video came at such a needed time 😂
  • @lenahoprah
the timing of this video was perfect for me. & I don’t believe in coincidences. thanks 🤍

I always make it a point to be kind to people, and when I don’t get that back I take a deep breath and let it go. That’s helped me out so much working on not letting people get to you
  • Facts bro.🥺 Practicing mindfulness on the words you speak to yourself. They have power. I have been letting degrading thoughts dominate me only leaving me hopelessly inert. I choose to be kind to myself. Oh and I am Perfectionist it's not always a good trait... Maybe you can do a video about Perfectionism🤔...

as the video goes on, joseph’s energy gets more and more, cause of the coffee. love that

I realize when I am harsh to myself and I practice apologizing to myself the minute I notice it. Its so strange how second nature it is
  • This was goood. The Internet literally gives us the opportunity to access like-minded people who may not necessarily be within close proximity. That's a gift. What you spoke on reminded me of that "becoming more like Jesus" thing. This is exactly how He treats and reprimands us - from a place of love and compassion. It also reminded me of "Love your neighbour as yourself". It's become clearer to me than it ever was before, that my capability to love others will always be limited [until I learn to love myself first].

This week I just realized that I needed to be more kind to myself… not focus in defeats but focus more in my qualities! This video was really for me! Thank you Lots of love from 🇧🇷
  • @tiwiogunye
I started practicing this recently and my mental health has improved drastically.

Damn. This hits on a personal level. Lol
  • Jesus help us because this is a major struggle I have had in the past 24. Hours I need to alter my altar prayer time in the morning to being affirmative gratitude praise report session instead of a lord help me cry this out .
  • This video affirmed so much of what I was already doing. Thank you! I used to be so unkind with myself how you mentioned. I often find myself asking myself or someone I'm holding space for "If your own child made this 'mistake' how would you speak to them? That answer is how we can speak to ourselves. It's life changing. It's created amazing opportunities for me, helped me develop courage and confidence, and attracted incredible people to my life. If you're reading this and you struggle with being kind to yourself, know that it's so human and it's so okay. It takes practice. Your intention to grow into deeper intimacy with yourself will always guide you to your next steps. <3

It's beautiful to see how much you've grown and how far you've come from back in the day. I love it for you bro.

All of this is true. Sidenote: Definitely missed a turn to my destination today. I just laughed at myself and said, “Good thing I know another way” 😊 it hasn’t always been that way though, its good to hear others are working on the same things as me

Yep... society teaches us how NOT to stop and think or reflect. The fast-paced environment that characterises our culture also robs us of this luxury. Being more self-aware is definitely an ongoing series of steps in the direction of healing. I like certain authors like: Tasha Eurich - Insight & Dr Caroline Leaf - Switch On Your Brain. Their books are great and certainly hone in on this very well articulated piece you're sharing on - thoughts and thinking habits. Thanks for sharing! The topic of self-love is so huge! Mine looks more like, celebrating the tiny wins and being brave.

WOW! This! I am having a hard time even accepting this message to be kinder to myself. Such a timely message.
  • Amen! I’ve been monitoring my emotions and negative thoughts when they come about to bring me so low. I try not to allow anything but positive loving kind words and thoughts to give back to myself. I’ve realized them, and see this vid is soo good because catching them are the first and most important step.

Just found this video and now I'm crying because I realize how unkind I've been to myself. I really needed this today. Thank you for sharing
