Meet Mama Eva, as she has come to be affectionately called by all of us. I met her at a hospice, where her husband, like my mom, was estimated to have less than 6 months to live as we faced the end stage of their illnesses together.

This is an extraordinary story of a woman with a hugely compassionate heart for strangers, who in spite of her own pain and uncertainty, reached out to help the rest of us make it through the most challenging time of our lives.

There is much we can learn from her journey and spirit. May she be an immense inspiration to you as she has been for me. She is and always will be everyone's Mama Eva. ❤️
