Northern California snake catchers focus on safety, education as they wrangle rattlesnakes

Tyler Young's job is unlike most. For the last 12 years, his life has revolved around an animal many people fear: rattlesnakes.

Hundreds of snake bites, some of them by rattlesnakes, are reported per year on average in California.

Young, who runs Placer Snake Removal, said there are ways people can protect themselves from being bitten, as the summer tends to be the season when those slithery reptiles tend to appear more often.
