Amtrak Bedroom Tour On The Texas Eagle | Biggest Amtrak Sleeper Car

Publicado 2023-05-26
Check out our Amtrak Bedroom tour on the Texas Eagle for our Amtrak vacation to Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City, Los Angeles. We booked an Amtrak bedroom for our four day, three night journey. In this tour we share a tour of the daytime setup and a nighttime setup as well as the in room bathroom and shower. We hope you enjoy our trip.

This is the biggest Amtrak Sleeper Car room you can get. We loved this Superliner Bedroom and used our Amtrak Guest Rewards Points to get it booked.

Although compact & pricey, Deluxe Bedrooms offer the ultimate in comfort & privacy. I'm in my 70's & don't want to risk falling from a ladder, so I would reserve by phone adjoining bedrooms whenever travelling with my wife so that we'd both have lower bunks & his & hers lavatories. My wife is claustrophobic & feels entombed with top bunks in the down position in these cars. Happy wife, happy life.

After watching hours of your videos I decided to take the plunge and in February booked a bedroom on the California zephyr. It was fantastic. Small issues with the room in that it was an older car, the speaker didn’t work, the chair was kind of tattered but the rest of the trip more than made up for those shortcomings. Most of the staff (most) was really great, the food was terrific, I ate in my bedroom the whole time. I was prepared for a delayed arrival but actually got into Sacramento a few minutes early. The winter views of the Rockies were really great. I’m looking forward to doing another train ride soon.

I live in San Antonio and plan to use AMTRAK to visit Houston or Dallas and this video was really helpful. Thank you so much for sharing ❤❤

Your videos are so helpful! Last year I took my first trip on Amtrak and was well prepared for the trip because I had watched your videos. Hope you don’t mind but every time I come across someone with a lot of questions about Amtrak train travel I send them to y’all’s channel.

The bedroom you're showing is an older Superliner, they have the metal sink and push paddle type water controls (off or splash). The newer Superliners have bit different sink and shower arrangement, the coach choice is Amtrak's and 'pot luck' so far as what you will be assigned. Generally the Southwest Chief uses the newer sleepers which is what I normally take from CHI to LAX. Also that route has a full diner service.

It's great when you do actual measurements of the room and bed size, that was extremely helpful for me and my wife when we rode in a bedroom.

  • I love the videos. I'm 60 and still work. Financially I don't need to. I just work for the medical benefits. I look forward to watching the other channel. My goodness.
  • Nice tour! We would love to get a bedroom on that trip! I'll settle for coach. Just want to be riding on the rails. 😂

I literally just rode the Texas Eagle Train from Chicago to Dallas and that was one interesting, uncomfortable ride.
