I didn't realize how cheap is China's public transport until I came to London
  • We are lucky to live in the future, Chine is another level! 🙂
  • Western media: Free public transport? But AT WHAT COST? lol

Another beauty of public transportation in China is its low cost. Most bus journeys cost less than 25p and most tube lines cost less than £1.
  • What a beautiful and green city. With cheap public transportation, who needs to drive and find parking.
  • China also allows pensioner-age tourists to go free on metro. We were allowed to a special queue, without check, and ride free in both ShenZhen and Guangzhou metros. The people at the entrance gate were quite happy for us to pass through and we were given seats on the metro trains too.
  • ...public transport not only free, but also safe, modern, clean, abundant, and punctual.
  • WOW!CHINA CHINA China! Love China! --Donald Trump
  • Yes, the Chinese government subsidies a lot to provide very cheap public transportation for the Chinese people👍
  • I'm starting to think the Chinese peoples government is working for the people. Free public transport for some tho...
  • The future city of the world China.its not because of democracy or communist,it's because of a good leader.
  • If tfl was losing 20 million a day the mayor or London and TFL management would be sacking people
  • Wait until kingdom comes for free public transport In any UK, EU or American cities. Even Canadian cities can hardly provide any free public transport.
  • Where I am the public transport has gone up! Nothing free except for over 65s. Having said that 10 RMB is a bit steep. It's about half that for long trips on our subway. Every province/city/municipality is different. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. You can't really say - 'this is what it's like in China' like the China haters do. It's a mixed bag. Thanks for showing us your end mate.

That's the difference in outlook. Western media would say that the Chinese public transport and train service is losing money, but for China, it's a public service, for the people and not something to make mega profits out of. and in the long run, people are happy, small cities gets developed, which brings in more money, and the country benefits overall.
