I suspect this collection has already been picked through as the modern event deck is missing the most valuable card in Sword of Feast and Famine.

Thanks for serving as a reminder why the average person shouldn't buy random collections. Aside from the occasional extremely lucky story you hear about, most people aren't going to to hit anything valuable, much less original duals or random reserved list cards. And even if you strike out, these videos are still entertaining because it's fun to hear you talk about the cards and share stories. 👍

my heart dropped a little when you went past the rat, i'm glad you pulled it back in front for the obligatory toot-toot 🎺

So glad you stopped at illusionary wall, that’s the card that pulled me into this beautiful game.

I work at Fedex Ground and I have to say seeing a box in the kind of condition happens more than I'd like to see. Some co-workers don't treat packages as if it was their own package.

When i used to buy and sell collections and bulk, one trick is to separate out all old border (Pre Mirrodin) and sell that in lots on ebay, it does tend to go for more than bulk modern border. Also, creature tokens in bulk are worth a lot more than bulk commons and uncommons, but the filler cards aren't.

The gofundme to get Seth those cookies is going strong. This collection was pure carnage.

Nearly 40 minutes of Seth rifling through cardboard with pretty pictures pictures on them is the type of content I tune in for! Action-packed peewee!

At least saffron is a content creator. It's actually impossible for him to lose money buying a collection. If I were him I'd turn all that bulk into decks, sign a bunch of lands and sell them as Saffron Olive jank against the odds decks. Cool way to give back to the community and I would definitely buy one. Or if he doesn't care just use them as giveaways for the channel. Idk just an idea.

I suspect this is one of the most expensive ways to build a pauper deck or two 😂
  • @MagicRon97
Thanks for doing this Seth. The content is worth more than what you lost buying this collection 🤣

I've found cards with letters/initials on them like that too. I've been told they were parts of draft league decks, where players had to give up cards in their decks if they lost (sort of like ante I guess) and replace them with cards drafted (or acquired otherwise) from packs. So the letters/intitals were there to mark whose deck the cards were in throughout the league. Might be the case here too?

Technically Jeweled Amulet could be used in any deck that proliferates, you still can only make the color of Mana used to initially add the charge counter, but you can get multiple charges on it.

Love these vids man! And that Blood Moon guitar is awesome!

what a heist, listing a collection like that at 250 and getting someone to bite at 200 and talking them up to 220. They made out like a bandit.
  • I saw Batwing Brume in there :) That was my secret sideboard tech against Twin back in the day ;)
