I am am ‘older gal’ - 80 next year. We get used to being called all kinds of slightly silly and sweet names. I don’t mind. I did a few of these for the first time at 11pm! Will do them again properly in the morning. Very easy for me with chronic back pain, and other difficulties. Thank you.

Awesome. 62 years old. Thank you. I'll share with other seniors.

Thank you for this video. I teach a chair yoga weekly to a wide variety of ages. Some are in their 80s, mostly women but some men as well. This gave me some great new ideas and reinforced that I'm already giving them what they need too. Again, thanks! Leanne
  • Thank you for thinking about "us" older persons. I had spine surgery almost a year ago, and this is what I was looking for.

I am not an elderly woman but I have many health problems that limit my mobility and I believe I could do these
  • Thank you for this video. I was an instructor many years ago and you are everything I dreamed I would have become. Thank you!

Thank you very much! I am 68 and need working like this I hace high blood pressure and hypothyrodidm. I feel bad sometimes, because no matter how much exercises I do, and most of the time I eat just what I can, no what I want! So, tomorrow I will start doing this after my daily walking! Thank you very much. Grettings from Paraguay.

I used to go to a fantastic Pilates Teacher but a bit far from home so had to stop. This young woman works similar to the one I had. Great to watch and now motivated me to do the moves again. Our group also was from 18 to 80 and was great for someone to think differently for slightly mature ladies. Thanks for this video and I have liked and subscribed.

My chiropractor is suggesting Pilates. I am older and have a weak lower back/pelvic area. Took a serious fall from a horse many years ago. Now my lower back has healed, but I need to take responsibility, drop some weight and find a practical routine that will strengthen and improve my flexibility. I also like the Yoga style breathing and stress reducing routines. Thank you for your channel. I will follow with interest. My goal in the next six months is to lose weight and be significantly in better overall condition for my 70th birthday. My blank journal is open and I am starting in ernest on August 1st, with my chiropractor's approval. I recognize Hatha Yoga cat, which I love!

Very nice, I teach a class that is a blend of yoga and Pilates in an active over 55 community.  I've bruised my coccyx and was looking for some new moves that did not require any lying on the back work.  I like the lying on the side options which I have not used in a while.  Your video reminded me of some exercises that I did a long time ago and had forgotten about.  I've subscribed to your channel and plan to be an every day user. Thanks!

I know this was posted awhile ago but, thank you, this is very helpful. Not just for “older women” but anyone of any age that requires modifications (scoliosis, back injuries, etc.) I do have to admit that the “they, their” etc phrasing as if “older” (Not sure if the age cut off or parameter was noted here) sounded as if it was an “us vs. them” distinction. Unless you are unfortunate enough to die early, All women will be Older Women (as opposed to other groups such as pregnant, postnatal, disabled etc. which not everyone will necessarily be a part of). Other than that little sensitivity of mine, this is great! Although “older” now (56) I’ve lived my entire life with back issues such as scoliosis, transitional vertebrae, Hyper-mobile vertebrae) I’ve still managed to dance - ballet, lyrical, African- hike, bike, skate etc. Pilates and yoga are both great for managing cumulative damage from over a lifetime of being very active and making your body strong enough to remain active.
  • Thank you , you have explained these excercises well, I hope to do them , started the easy ones today.
  • Thank you for this video. I teach pilates to a few older women with severe limitations, and was wondering what I could do with them that wouldn't be too much for them. This video is perfect.

  • This is great. Thank you. I'm not a Pilates instructor but enjoyed doing these. Would be good to have a full 30 or 60 minute workout.
