In this video, I document my journey of catching all shiny shadow Pokémon in Pokémon Colosseum for the Nintendo GameCube. I accomplished this task by utilizing random number generator (RNG) manipulation, which involves using external programs to predict how the game will respond to player input. After spending over a year learning how to use many different tools and techniques, this is the result. I'd like to shout out the creators of all the tools I utilized, as well as guide writers and other contributors to the Pokémon RNG community. Your efforts and dedication made this possible. Thanks to all of you and everyone else for watching!

The pure idea of hunting for a square shiny tripple segment Dudunsparce in Pokémon Colloseum is just mind boggling impressive.
  • @kanjibear5486
It's a tiny thing, but I love how each shiny has a different icon on the hud. It makes them feel even more unique than usual shinies.
  • @zest761
When I saw you get to dunsparce I mentioned to my husband "oh man imagine going for a three segment square shiny shadow" You: "Now in Scarlet and Violet..." Me: "THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN I KNEW IT"
  • @XurkVG
The thing with Smeargle's normal and shiny being swapped is interesting. It was actually swapped when going from gen 2 to gen 3, however Colosseum reuses Stadium 2's models. This results in the inconsistency you saw
  • @imablisy
The dedication for the methodless Pokémon is insane lol. Really good vid.
  • @Minty_Meeo
Glad to hear the e-Reader exclusive shadow Pokemon aren't forgotten about.
  • @TFSthegreat
Wow, an incredibly well-produced video about such a niche subject - easiest sub of my life! Huge props for doing Pyrite manips on retail by the way
  • @celica9288
Honestly, I love that you went with the name of cipher, this whole run is a sequence of hidden codes in essence, and you're deciphering them to get the shinies you desire

Great video! I remember finding out when I was younger that shadows could be shiny, I managed to accidentally get Makuhita and was extremely confused to see it. Really awesome to see such a technical breakdown of this game.
  • @Wulfenburg
I have to admit I had no idea you could get shiny pokemon in this game.

A lot of the RNG manipulation talk went over my head, but it was a very fun and interesting journey. As somebody who had a strong fascination with the slightly edgier aesthetic of Colosseum when I was younger, this was a cool way to bring some new mystery and excitement back to a part of my childhood.

I've been soft resetting for colosseum shinies for a bit now, and while I don't plan on rng'ing, it was fascinating to learn about the process. Very well made video!
  • hey I'm about 15 minutes in and I do intend to watch the whole thing. I just had to stop and say though, this entire premise is insane. I didn't even know that we had an exponential tier 2 "square" shiny that could have it's "DNA" registered all the way back to gen 3. You good sir need an extra special star on your trainer card for that one.
  • @squares4u
This is absolutely INCREDIBLE. You deserve thousands of views for this feat. I could honestly never. Congratulations!
  • @GuardiosK
My guy I'm not even half done with the video and honestly your level of dedication is insane
  • @wilhelm1273
Congratulations on the achievement! Great guide too. I'm thinking about RNGing for shiny Pokemon in Colosseum and will definitely use this video as reference!
  • @SaphyMarie
You are absolutely crazy for doing this and have 1000% earned my subscribe. You explained everything so well that I think that I could even do the challenge, and I'm also crazy enough to do it. The coolest thing for me is watching you get better at it. At the end, you were hitting all of those pokemon in the first few attempts. You call it luck, but we can all see the numbers. It's not luck after that much consistency; it's skill. I'm happy that people putting in the work like you find new ways for me to appreciate Pokemon all over again!
  • @Arvenyte
Your video has inspired me to do the same in my own Colo journey, since I already wanted a shiny quilava to bring to S/V anyway. So far I got makuhita, Bayleef, and a near perfect IV shiny misdreavus. You weren't lying when you mentioned all that about noise in those areas.
  • @FrostedPoke
It's absolutely astounding a video of this magnitude and effort only has 500 views. You honestly inspired me to at least try RNG-ing for the shiny Johto Beasts, Metagross and Tyranitar!
  • @NumbNexus
Sat through its entirety and I really have to say this video is a MASTERPIECE! Genuinely loved every second and I love seeing the shinies in this timeless of a classic 😭
