Unprecedented IT outage still felt around the world

Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike says the outage was caused by an update it pushed for Windows.
CrowdStrike shares are down roughly 18 per cent as a result of the worldwide tech outage.

I was up at 5am UK with 50 engineers to do a workaround for our systems to continue to work and get back online as massive online retailer, took us 3+ hours for full restore get online, was not fun start to a Friday. Very bad one company can take out so much of the worlds businesses. We for sure must keep cash !

WHEre? No air traffic at all today. Banks are closed..gas and grocery stores are only taking cash. Wtf? United States is closed for business.

"...It was not a cyberattack..." Oh yeah? What do you call it when the security of millions of computers relied upon for the security of billions of people is not just breached but crushed? Last time I checked, "security" meant freedom from risk or danger; has it changed since?
