A young family of four fell in love with the seemingly abundant space of their home, but as the kids grow up, the house is beginning to feel much smaller. Hilary and David offer their plans to find this active family the space and functionality they need.

When a house no longer feels like home, homeowners are left with a big financial and emotional question: renovate or sell it? Love It or List It helps fed-up homeowners decide. In each hour-long episode Realtor David Visentin and designer Hilary Farr compete for the homeowners' final decision to stay or go. David's insider perspective on the real estate market helps target listings to prospective buyers, but Hilary is determined to show homeowners that, within their budget, she can transform their worn-out house into a castle they can love. If the owners decide to list it, Hilary's hard work adds to the home's resale value. It's a tough decision either way. Which choice would you make?

I actually feel sorry for Hillary on this one. She was given an impossible task—can’t squeeze blood from a stone. I love what she did with the basement
  • Aww, 2 girls each need their own bathroom to get ready for school, poor things. We were a family of 7 with ONE bathroom. And yes, we also walked 10 miles to school through 10 feet of snow uphill both ways, and we liked it. 😃

Why not show the new laundry and master bathroom? Viewers always want to see all the upgrades. 😔

That guy is a putz! That's the nicest description possible!
  • @lw3269
That's a lot expected for $95K. Edit: Husband was an A-hole throughout

They gave 400k for a new home, and only 95k for renovation , but they have so much space on their current land to just expand the house, americans seem weird with their housing system..

Would have enjoyed seeing the master space and bath overhauls.
  • Very disappointed in having watched to end and never seen the master bed, bathroom and laundry. Great job Hilary!
  • I have to admit the yellow hoause is more beautiful but Hillary did a good job for such a smal place.

Oh my god this guy is being immensely annoying with Hilary
  • @inolagranville7832
well, this is the first in a long time that I agree they should list it so personally, I think that was the best decision
  • @lus7144
Any research done before they set a renovation budget? They are demanding but the budgets fall short

I like the rack for hanging the children's art. That was a very thoughtful addition. You must be able to display your children's art. Show them how proud you are of their accomplishments.

Like how builders and customers complain about no space in 100 Square yards floor while europeans laughingly move in kitchen, two bedrooms plus bathrooms, bureau, laundry and garage...
