On Ditto, I always assumed it was because of the Daycare. Trainers bred with Ditto, leading to a population of wild ones in the surrounding area.
  • There was once a theory that after Red caught the first Snorlax, Lieutenant Surge used the second one to block the entrance of Diglett’s Cave to prevent Trainers from catching Diglett for his gym battle.

Lance can early-evolve Dragonair and teach Dragonite Barrier/Aerodactyl Rock Slide because he's part of an ancient Dragon using clan. He knows secrets about Dragon pokemon the player doesn't. That's why they have to give you a Dratini with Extremespeed and you can't teach it yourself. They know how to teach Dragons moves that you can't.
  • Lake of Rage causing early evolution but lowering happiness is my head canon

Shuckle can be obtained besides the one that you are given. It's found in Rock Smash rocks, being a 10% encounter in a obscure method to begin with, so it's okay to think that, just like some people thought Skarmory and Slugma were gen 3.

Now that I think about it, the person who gives you the ticket for the magnet train was the copycat, the perfect person to add dittos to a new region

I remember once hearing that the celebrity was actually legendary Japanese actress Setsuko Hara, who is best known for her role in Ozu’s Tokyo Story. She became a recluse for a long time, and I think there’s something extremely beautiful about suddenly finding her at the end of this journey.

Lance‘s Dragonite in RB (and japanese Red & Green) also knew Barrier which was illegal so he‘s 100% a hacker

Just had an idea for a potential answer for the girl that gives you fly/steel wing... What if she's the pro golfer from alola that ends up becoming an elite four member? It would make sense that she'd want to have a getaway that's out of alola so she'd be less likely to get recognized. And given she's strong enough to eventually end up an elite four member, she would surely be strong enough to get the go ahead to make a retreat on Mt silver.

I recently learned this from another YouTuber who does similar videos: that unreachable water in the northeast part of Cherrygrove was made reachable in HGSS by changing the layout of Route 30 to allow you to surf down to it. However, because they weren't able to implement having multiple encounter tables of the same type on the same map until Generation VII, the portion of that pond that is in Cherrygrove has ocean encounters to match the ocean on the western part of the map, even though the portion that's on Route 30 has pond encounters.

4:40 Maybe they intended the Cianwood Shuckle to be the only one, but it's not the only Shuckle in the game. While rare, you can catch Shuckle via the Rock Smash rocks as all Rock Smash rocks have a chance of being a Shuckle. Though, since it is rare, it would support the theory of that trainer being a collector of rare Pokemon.

Well, in terms of Red borrowing Charizard, in the Adventures Manga, it was actually confirmed to be the case, as Blue Loans Red his Charizard to help him get to a specific area in Mt Silver. The same can somewhat be said for Green when she loans Red her Blastoise.

it wouldn’t be Farfetch’d to assume the celebrity just flew to Mt. Silver with her Fearow

I support the idea of traveling into the sea from Goldenrod. Restoring lost concepts from beta is wonderful

I'm guessing Jasmine's Rock-type team included Onix (later a Steelix), Corsola (found in Olivine's waters), Shuckle (found across the Water routes), and Sudowoodo (found not too far inland). She would have been an interesting parallel to Blaine, another Gym leader whose specialty seemingly clashes with the local ocean's Water types.
  • For the celebrity, I'd like to think it was Red who allowed her on Mt. Silver because he felt bad for ruining her hiding spot
  • If you read the Pokémon adventures manga, it gives reasoning to why red has the three starters as well as why he’s on mount silver in the first place. Yes he did borrow them. Also, in the manga, red’s eevee was a victim of team rocket’s experiment and due to unstable genetics, could go between its stone evolutions at will. That is until it became an espeon while under red’s care, stabilizing it

Bugsy's metapod is the ONLY metapod (maybe cocoon pokemon in general) in the anime to actually fight back. It knocked out Ash's chikorita and put up a fight against pikachu. For that i will forever advocate putting it back in legacy crystal !!!

I always felt like Johto/Gen 2 was simply an EXTENSION of Gen 1, hence why we saw a lot of Gen 1 Pokémon in the gyms because they featured types that weren’t in the Gen 1 gyms. It wasn’t necessarily trying to be a brand new game with brand new Pokémon everywhere. That being said, I DO think ultimately it’s cooler to utilize more Johto Pokémon in the gyms like you’ve been doing in Crystal Legacy, and love the work you’ve been doing with it! 🙌

For Shuckle - you can get it in several locations using Rock Smash.
