Ah wow, that's incredible. So scared, yet so desperate to be loved

Such a clear example of how fear is so often at the root of aggression in animals (including humans), and how, with patience, understanding, compassion (and, sometimes, chicken nuggets!), it can be overcome to reveal a beautiful, affectionate and joyful being.

53 yr. old veteran here.... I have tears streaming down my face. God Bless these folks.

Watching this makes me happy and sad at the same time, knowing that there are animals out there who will never get these opportunities.

This woman is doing EXACTLY what she was meant to in this life.

Hats off to the young lady who was able to socialize this pup. Take a minute to think about the effort and then turn this wonderful soul over to someone else. It has to be tough to let go.

God bless this lady for her patience, love and care for this dog. She literally saved its life.

Fear aggression is something that can be addressed, as noted in this excellent piece

I wish more people could read dogs well enough to know the difference between real fear and real aggression. Especially with the Belgian Malinois in this case that desperately needs socialization instead of being locked in a kennel. As soon as they bond with you, it's forever. Their loyalty is limitless. I love this video.

I'll never tire seeing a breakthrough with an animal that's lived in fear or abuse or whatever their situation. Just goes to show how with love and patience most can overcome the situation they've been put in.

It saddens me to imagine what this poor girl might have endured to make her so fearful that she felt she had to be "aggressive" to defend herself. But it always makes me happy that there are caring people out there who take the time to give dogs like these the chance to learn to trust humans again. So glad this girl found the loving forever home she deserved from the start.
  • As someone who has had a fear of dogs my whole life watching these kind of stories really inspires me to try to heal my relationship with the canine folk. ❤

Belgian malinois are super loyal and affectionate doggies..

Well done saving a precious life that just needed some help healing and overcoming fear.

How this Belgian got to the point of fear aggression is mind boggling. they are one of the most loyal fearless protectors and friends of humans, Not hard to see why many professional forces uses the breed in law enforcement and military. They are also very intelligent. Reasoning the way her barriers was broken down just by the simple act of love, something she craved for. Thank you for including us in her journey to her happy ever after.

What a beautiful ending to this story. Huge shout out to this woman who actually took the time to work with her and show her the love and patience she needed. We need more people like her in this world.
  • You know it never occurred to me that women like this could help so many dogs by helping them get adopted. It makes so much sense, she's a dog therapist, which is what they need along with a loving home. Not every willing adopter will have the skills to heal a dog like this even if they want to. Very inspiring.
