Mark Harmon Confesses Why He Had To Leave NCIS

I believe Mark's departure from NCIS was warranted as he deserved to enjoy his well earned retirement.

I love Mark Harmon. I miss him on NCIS. But his decision. The show is still a great watch. Thank you Mr. Harmon!

After working for 45 years, I was ready to retire 10 years ago at age 65. I LOVE being retired and not having to worry about the responsibilities of a job. I fully support Harmon in his desire to retire and finally be able to spend time with his family. He's made enough money to last several lifetimes and, more importantly, he doesn't owe anything to the people who watched the show. He did his job faithfully and well. He was the leader of the show and now he's living out his life on his terms without having to go to production meetings and memorize lines. I can only say to Mark Harmon, WELL DONE.

Gibbs, Ziva, Tony, McGee, Ducky, and Leon are the show. The rest are well...the others. All are important, but the first six made the show what it is.

Mark Harmon has done the right thing for himself and Pam. Acting has been such a big part of his life it wouldn't surprise me if he takes on another roll. I have heard that he is working on a television show with his son playing a younger version of Gibbs. Maybe he will be in a dream sequence or something. However I don't know if it's true or not. I continue to watch him in reruns of NCIS all-day Sundays on ION TV. God bless you Mark with whatever you do with your life ❤

I don't even like beer, but his final scene in this show takes me back to what I remember about Mark Harmon---standing in water with his Levis, fly fishing in a Coors commercial. Levis never looked so good.

I say good for him about his departure. An how happy i was that Mark & Pam got married . They were met for each other they were match . Made in heaven . ❤❤❤❤❤

I really miss 'Gibbs', but I understand his retiring. Besides, I can binge the old NCIS whenever I need a 'Gibbs fix'! I look forward to seeing a surprise cameo someday!

Actors and actresses are more than just the person they are protraying. They are real life people with real life families and lives. He deserves to have his privacy and down time with his real ramily. While we will miss his charismatic personality on the screen. We at my home wish his happiness and peace. He has truly earned a peaceful retirement. If someone is a real fan of the show and Leroy Jethro Gibbs, they can see that he is in many ways someone to follow as a role model.
