In today's video I speedrun GROW Island, GROW Cube and GROW RPG. These games require a lot of intelligent problem solving, and are just super fun to play. Speedrunning the GROW series games was great!

My channel generally focuses on a more casual side of speedruns. With these videos I want to show off cool speedruns, explain how they work, and entertain. Hopefully you enjoy the content and maybe even take up speedrunning yourself, because it is truly a lot of fun!

  • the way these games were my ENTIRE childhood even though i didn’t understand english or japanese and never could get a good ending because i didn’t know what i was doing LOL
  • When my younger self was playing this for hours before, I didn't know that there was an ending or even a goal. I was just so mesmerised by the art and what they're gonna do
  • On Nakayama, the creator of the GROW series, has been fighting a heart disease since 2018. While he got a transplant, he still hasn't fully recovered and is asking for donations, so it's great to rise awareness towards it!

im so glad this series wasn't just a fever dream from my childhood
  • Sad fact, the creator of the grow games from what I've known has been having a lot of health issues so best of wishes to the creator of the grow game's creator.

For the grow series, you should make a speedrun of the secret endings.
  • I had a case study on Grow Island. My task was to analyze and write a High Level Document on it. Grow Island is a "commercial" of sorts to encourage people to learn science, engineering and those kind of fields. I don't remember for which institute. The game is "designed" in such a way that combines all fields to work together in order to develop civilization and progress and human beings. This is roughly the essence of the game. I had this case study about 6 years ago...

I loved the grow series back in the day. It was always fun trying different orders out seeing what kind of weird combination would happen. Then using trial and error to try and find the how to get max level on everything

I always see people saying "this game was my childhood" and whatnot, but today it's finally my turn. Thank you so much for unlocking this memory!

The GROW series is legitimately my favorite flash games ever. I loved them so much as a kid, they were mesmerizing and beautiful to look at, and the process of figuring out the correct order to place stuff in made me feel so smart. I dearly hope their creator will manage to cure their health issues!!
