Bellamy Plays: Drums

Hello everyone! This week's Bellamy Plays was a fun one. We noticed that she has been naturally gravitating towards the drums. She has been trying some different beats on her own, and exploring how different drums and cymbals make different sounds. We also wanted to show you one way you can learn to play drums at home even without a drum set. If you have some pots and pans, buckets, or even cardboard boxes, you can learn various beats and make them sound different by experimenting with creative ways of playing.

We get a lot of questions about why Bellamy doesn't play an instrument. The truth is, she has tons of instruments of her own and likes to play each of them at different times, but hasn't decided on one that she loves. The boys chose their own instruments when they wanted to, and our independent lady deserves the same opportunity. This is a fun way for her to explore! If you have kids that are thinking about learning an instrument, maybe these little tips or tricks will be helpful.

If you've never seen one of our videos, feel free to read some info about us below. 🙂

Hello everyone! We're the Clark family. Colt (the Dad) is a professional musician and Aubree (me, the Mom behind the camera) is a photographer. Together we home school our three children (even when we're not in the middle of a pandemic). 🙂 We're keeping busy during our time at home by learning a new song every other day. We thought we'd record them and share as we go. Hopefully it brightens your day!
