Isobel needs to be recognized for her honest journalism. We live in a world where a 9 year old has to control his tears for his murdered brother.

I am from Bangladesh. I still remember the time when my father was posted in South Sudan, Libya, Egypt and other african countires for UN peacekeeping missions. The day my father left for Sudan from Bangladesh, I cried alot and the entire day at school I was depressed and worried for the safety of my father and the thought that i would never see him again. I was 7 years old during that time and didn't know much about the world. Recently after turning 19 this year, i am seeing these documentaries and I am more than proud of my father. I am not the best son in the world but he sure is the best father in the world. P.S. my father is well and alive, he is now a Colonel of the Bangladesh army. I still have some of his pictures from his tour in africa in my old laptop.

What struck me the most was how emotional everyone was about Bol’s return. From his sister, to the neighbours, to just random people. No matter who they are, people just want their loved ones near them; blood-related or not.
  • I don't think I can ever forget the moment the boy reunited with his family, I watched it countless of times with tears in my eyes, especially when he was carried by his family. Thank you vice for always educating me and always showing me how greatful I should be for my condition

Isobel is literally the goat. Most journalists have some annoying sassiness to them like they know everything. But she is genuinely there to learn and really question all while having a heart.
  • I cant get over the fact how blessed I am to live in a peaceful place. I pray for South Sudan to be prosperous very soon.
  • @MC_Elie
When that boy started crying, damn that was hard to watch. That was heartbreaking. I wish I could adopt him.
