I'm not a musician. I'm a 65-year-old black woman who from early childhood listened to people like Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and Patsy Cline along with R&B performers like The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, and James Brown. Whether it was R&B, Pop, Rock, or Country, if it was GOOD music, that's ALL that MATTERS. Recently, I've been enjoying Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Tracy Chapman, and Black Violin (A Flat), and The Black Pumas (Colors). I think the internet has given us all a chance to expand our musical palettes. Great conversation!
